Lower Barn

A project very much led by the client who wanted to create a home that was as environmentally sustainable as possible, with space to run two businesses and to accommodate visiting family members and other guests. The project was carefully thought through using green design principles to create a building with reduced levels of energy consumption, both to build it and to maintain it. The design incorporated passive solar gain, using the heat of the sun to warm the building and very high levels of insulation to retain the heat. We provided support in the means of building regulation drawings. The accommodation also provides two self-contained holiday apartments providing the perfect retreat in which to relax and unwind.
